Outreach Programs

As capacity allows, MOSS offer 1-5 day Outreach Programs at the UI McCall Field Campus or in a school’s local community.

During the day, graduate students Field Instructors participating in a year-long Master of Natural Resources Program lead groups of 10-15 participants in hands-on exploration of social and ecological communities. Field Instructors guide students through making observations of their environment and investigating intricate relationships between living and non-living organisms. Students discuss their own role in the ecosystem and consider how their decisions may impact the greater socio-ecological system.
