Each
year members of the Honors Program elect representatives
to serve on the Honors Student Advisory Board. The board
provides valuable advice to the directors and to the Honors
Program Committee, evaluates proposed seminars, coordinates
a variety of social, cultural, and community service activities,
publishes "The Looking Glass," and helps in the orientation
and mentoring of new students. HSAB meets twice a month; UHP members are invited and welcome to attend.
You also may be interested to know that UHP students have established a “UI Honors Student Advisory Board ” Facebook group for all members—prospective students admitted to the UHP are welcome to join this group at www.facebook.com (search under Honors Student Advisory Board ).
