Political Science Minor

Political science is the study of politics and power from domestic, international and comparative perspectives. The political science minor is designed to help students develop a foundational understanding of political systems, theories, and institutions. It facilitates critical thinking about current events and the role of government in society. Additionally, this minor enhances analytical skills, and it prepares students for diverse careers or further studies in related fields. View course list from registrar's office.

Comparative/International Politics Minor

The goal of our department’s academic minor in comparative/international politics is to equip students with an understanding of political dynamics in the realm of global politics. The minor fosters analytical skills to (1) compare political processes and outcomes across countries and (2) evaluate the strategic interactions of states. This minor prepares students for careers in international relations, diplomacy, or global advocacy by promoting awareness of global issues and interdependences. View course list from registrar's office.

Philosophy, Politics, and Economics Minor

There are few institutions more powerful in the present day than money and the law. Governments create money, and so create economies; economic activity has a life of its own and affects the decisions of governments. For students in political science, the intersection of philosophy, politics, and economics is a crucial area of study. The PPE minor offers political science students a unique opportunity to explore these dynamic relationships in an interdisciplinary setting, and it deepens their understanding of how these institutions interact and affect society.
