Curriculum
The M.A. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) is intended for students interested in learning to teach English as another language at the secondary or post-secondary level. Students take courses in linguistics and language teaching pedagogy. This curriculum provides theoretical background and practical training in the areas of second language acquisition and applied linguistics.

Note
Native speakers of English in the TESOL program must have studied a foreign language for at least one semester (or equivalent) within the preceding five years. Non-native speakers of English are excused from this requirement.
