Guidelines for Acknowledging OUR Support

Successful applicants to the OUR Grants Program (i.e., OUR Undergraduate Research Grants or OUR Travel Grants) should acknowledge support from the Office for Undergraduate Research in any publication or presentation resulting from the project. The OUR logo should be included on all posters.

If you are publishing research funded by the OUR as a paper or manuscript, please include the following sentence in the acknowledgements section:
“This research was funded by an Undergraduate Research Grant from the Office of Undergraduate Research at the University of Idaho.” If applicable, replace “Undergraduate Research Grant” in the preceding sentence with the name of a different OUR Grant.

If your research was funded only partially by the OUR, then use the following sentence:
“This research was funded in part by an Undergraduate Research Grant from the Office of Undergraduate Research at the University of Idaho.”

On a poster, where space may be very limited, you may use abbreviations. For example:
“Funded by an Undergraduate Research Grant from the OUR at UI.”

If you are presenting your research as part of a panel or a talk, please state that funding from the OUR at the University of Idaho helped make your work possible. 

OUR Logo

Students presenting a poster at the UI Undergraduate Research Symposium and/or at professional conference should include the OUR logo on their poster if funding from the OUR helped make the project or presentation possible.
