Courses & Labs
General Laboratory Information
Lectures and labs are separate courses. Students will get 3 credits and a grade for the lecture. If enrolled in a lab, students will get 1 credit and a separate grade for the lab. Labs are not necessarily required (check with your major advisor).
Lab Start Dates
There are no labs during first week of the term; lab experiments start during second week. Students will need to check BbLearn for information and instructions in order to prepare for the first meeting of the lab course.
The first lab (experiments) of the semester start the second Tuesday of the semester.
- Fall semester: When the semester begins on a Monday, the first Tuesday lab is 8 days later.
- Spring semester: When the semester begins on a Wednesday, the first Tuesday lab is 13 days later. For Thursday Labs this is 15 days later.
- Summer semester: Ask your instructor about the lab schedule; 14 total lab days are required (counting makeup).
