    Plan your event at the Idaho Water Center

    Reserve event space at U of I Boise in the Idaho Water Center. Located in downtown Boise on the corner of Front Street and Broad Street, the Idaho Water Center is the perfect urban location for your next event. With classroom space, seminar rooms and our larger Legacy Pointe event space available to rent, U of I Boise facilities can accommodate your plans.

    Catering options

    Events can be catered by outside vendors from the Boise area. Contact the U of I Boise operations team if you have questions about catering.

    If you would like to provide alcohol service at your event, you will need approval. Please contact U of I Boise Operations at uibops@uidaho.edu.

    Kitchen and lounge

    Kitchens for common use are found on floors two through four. They are equipped with refrigerators, microwaves and dishwashers. Lounge areas for common use are found on floors one through five. Vending machines are located on floors one and two.

    Visitor sign-in requirement

    All visitors to the Idaho Water Center must sign in at the security desk located on the first floor. For meetings and events of 14 attendees or more that are held in University of Idaho Boise rooms, it is the responsibility of the meeting organizer to have their attendees sign in when they arrive. A sign-in sheet will be provided.

    Explore Legacy Pointe

    Legacy Pointe is the premier venue for Vandal events in Boise. This multi-purpose venue located in the Idaho Water Center building, at the corner of Broadway Avenue and Front Street, has hosted a number of alumni, student recruitment and community events.

    Contact the UIdaho Boise operations team for more information about holding your next event in Legacy Pointe at uibops@uidaho.edu or use the online Legacy Pointe request form. 

    Technology in Legacy Pointe

    Legacy Pointe is equipped with the following:

    • Podium with PC and connection for a laptop
    • Theater-quality screen and high-quality projection
    • High definition *video conference system
    • Guest Wi-Fi
    • Teleconference system
    • Microphone options - wireless, hand-held or lapel

    *Non-U of I groups must have their own Zoom, Skype or other video software account and are responsible for appropriate licensing for their video conferencing software. For questions on compatibility please contact boisehelp@uidaho.edu.

    Room arrangements in Legacy Pointe

    Legacy Pointe can be configured to meet a variety of space needs. Room arrangement options include:

    • Reception (mix of seated and standing): Accommodates up to 125
    • Theater: Seats up to 80
    • Pods: Seats up to 72
    • Round: Seats up to 70
    • Seminar: Seats up to 36
    • Conference-style: Seats up to 24

    Wheelchair accommodations are always available.

    Cancellation information for Legacy Pointe

    Legacy Pointe room reservations cancelled 24 hours or less from the start of the event, will be charged the full room fee.

    NOTE: ASUI-registered student groups may use the space free of charge.

    Exceptions to the fees are at the discretion of the U of I Boise Executive Officer.

    Reserve Legacy Point

    Discover classroom and seminar spaces

    Reserve one of our versatile classrooms or seminar spaces for your next event. Our classrooms, including Legacy Pointe, offer flexible room configurations to suit your needs. Seminar rooms on the second and third floors feature a comfortable conference room setup with seating for 14, with the option to add extra chairs along the perimeter upon request. Wheelchair accommodations are always available.

    Contact the UIdaho Boise operations team for more information about holding your next event in our classrooms and seminar spaces at uibops@uidaho.edu or use the online request form to reserve a space.

    Technology in classrooms and seminar spaces

    All rooms include desktop computer, laptop connection, projector or display screens and are video conferencing capable.

    Public wireless access is available throughout all University of Idaho areas in the Idaho Water Center.

    Cancellation information for classrooms and seminar rooms

    All room cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to the beginning of the event. A $50 late or noncancellation fee will be assessed for classrooms 150, 156, 250 and 448.

    Under certain circumstances the cancellation fee will be forgiven. A written request to waive the cancellation fee must be received no more than two weeks following the date scheduled. The request must be sent to U of I Boise Operations.

    NOTE: ASUI-registered student groups receive a 100 percent discount.

    Exceptions to the fees are at the discretion of the U of I Boise Executive Officer.
