Second Year B.F.A. Review
The B.F.A. is a four-year degree divided into two parts: the pre-professional program (freshman and sophomore years) and the professional program (junior and senior years). The second-year review process ensures that all B.F.A. candidates have achieved a minimum competency before entry into upper division courses. The application process should begin during the semester when the student is completing the pre-professional requirements.
If an application is unsuccessful, students may reapply for entry the following semester. In a case of non-entry, the program suggests that the student apply a second time or consider the Bachelor of Arts Degree.
