Student Life
Many opportunities are available to students to get involved at the U of I and in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences. Student clubs offer students a great chance to build relationships with fellow students and network with professors and industry leaders. The specific club related to the Department of Plant Sciences is the Plant and Soil Science Club.
Students involved in extracurricular activities have the opportunity to travel, earn more scholarships and gain references from faculty. Students also develop leadership, communication and teamwork skills and receive professional experiences as they participate in club events and attend conventions and meetings within the industry.
