Laurel has been teaching at the American Language & Culture Program since 2005. She was introduced to working with English language learners in the late 1980s while living in Chile and later taught English in a community education program in southern Idaho to immigrants and refugees from many countries. This work inspired her to further her education in TESL and led her to her current position. She is experienced in teaching English language learners and other linguistically diverse students at all levels in English reading, composition, speaking, listening, grammar and pronunciation.
