Outreach Programs
ECHO Idaho
ECHO Idaho is an educational resource empowering healthcare professionals in Idaho’s remote or underserved communities to treat complex chronic diseases with specialist-level expertise. Clinicians statewide join ECHO Idaho using video conferencing for one-hour sessions that include brief lectures, case reviews, resource sharing and discussion.
North Idaho AHEC
The AHEC network is a national system of more than 300 program offices and centers developed to enhance healthcare access and delivery in underserved areas. AHECs bring together academic programs and regional health needs in ways that benefit communities and, most importantly, individual citizens.
Office of Continuing Education
The Idaho WWAMI Office of Continuing Education is committed to advancing lifelong learning by delivering accessible, innovative and high-quality educational programs for healthcare professionals.
We are accredited by Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education, a partnership between numerous national accrediting bodies that allows us to provide continuing education activities for multiple professions through a single, unified process. The professions for which we can offer continuing education credits include:
- Dietitians (Commission on Dietetic Registration)
- Nurses (American Nurses Credentialing Center)
- Pharmacists (Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education)
- Physicians (Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education)
- PAs (American Academy of PAs)
- Psychologists (American Psychological Association)
- Social workers (Association of Social Work Boards)
