Unit Safety Program/Committees
In support of the university’s vision of a residential campus and workplace of choice, Environmental Health and Safety, in conjunction with the university Safety and Loss Control Committee, has developed a template units may use to develop and implement a unit-specific safety program. The unit safety program template consists of nine elements which are considered to be essential to the overall goal of ensuring a safe learning and working environment is provided for all the employees, students and members of the public who may work, study and interact with the university.
In addition to the unit safety program template, this webpage contains links to a corresponding list of tools and resources that may be used by unit administrators and unit safety committees to help address and monitor the status of each of the elements it contains.
