Are you ready to earn a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership?
A Doctor of Education (Ed.D) or a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) degree with an Educational Leadership emphasis is for students who want to learn advanced skills and theories that will help inform and improve research and practice. This degree prepares students to assume positions as research-based faculty members in universities, high-level administrators and analysts in schools, school districts, and in state and national agencies. The doctorate can also open doors in the private sector as a consultant and CEO.
All degrees are offered in a variety of face-to-face and online delivery models to meet students’ needs.

Application Process

Possess an academic background comparable to the University of Idaho College of Education degree at the bachelor’s level or comparable degree in another field.

Have an undergraduate GPA of 3.00 or higher. Consideration given for professional practice.

Have maintained at least a 3.50 GPA in graduate academic work, if any.

Submit an application for admission to the University of Idaho’s College of Education and the College of Graduate Studies.

Master’s degree must be completed within eight years from the time of admission.

Possess an academic background comparable to a University of Idaho College of Education degree at the bachelor’s level or comparable degree in another field.

Have an undergraduate GPA of 3.00 or higher. Consideration given for professional practice.

Possess an academic background and practitioner experience suitable to leadership in K-12, higher education or related leadership discipline that prepares you to successfully complete coursework and enter the professional leadership field.

Preferred: A master’s degree or a specialist degree.
