Child Development Project
Learn about how you grow and develop and about how to care for yourself, your siblings and your community. Project step 1 is a Cloverbuds option, while steps 2 and 3 can build on earlier projects.
Growing on My Own (Step 1)
Cloverbuds (ages five to seven) learn about:
- Their roles in life
- Handling emotions
- Accepting differences in others

Growing with Others (Step 2)
In Growing with Others, older youth:
- Get introduced to babysitting
- Become more aware of how their family members and friends grow
- Work with others to become aware of common dangers in their world

Growing in Communities (Step 3)
In Growing in Communities, Teens
- Explore child development careers
- Gain experience as a teacher or coach
- Participate in a community service project
- Learn that children with different abilities have different needs
