University of Idaho Extension, Franklin County, helps area citizens with research-based information. Clients learn through classes, office visits, phone calls and online resources about information concerning these areas:
- 4-H youth development
- Agriculture: Cereals and forages
- Horticulture: Gardening and pest management
- Family and consumer sciences: Health, nutrition and food safety
- Eat Smart Idaho
University of Idaho employs a full-time agriculture educator, family and consumer sciences educator and a part-time 4-H assistant.
Franklin County supports UI Extension by providing two full-time office administrators focusing on agriculture, family and consumer sciences and 4-H programs.
