Latah County 4-H Animal Projects Policies

The purpose of the 4-H Animal Projects Policies (PDF) is to identify additional project requirements or policies specific to large livestock and small animals, including market, non-market and pet projects not included in 4-H Policies and Procedures (PDF).

Refer to Idaho's 4-H website Documents and Records for more 4-H resources.

Latah County Market Animal Weigh-In & Tagging

All 4-H and FFA members enrolled in a market animal project are expected to weigh and tag their project animals at the established Latah County weigh-in and tagging dates for the current 4-H year. Final weigh-in of all market animals occurs on Wednesday of fair week.

Market Animal Floater Policy

Reminder: Members must follow the Latah Market Animal Sale (LMAS) Animal Weigh-In and Floater Policy. This policy was approved in January 2014 by Latah County Livestock Leaders and Latah County Leaders Council. Read a copy of the Floater Policy PDF. Please contact your 4-H leader or the UI Extension office if you have any questions.
