Joey Peutz has spent her career working on behalf of youth and families around health and wellbeing. She serves as the county chair as she develops, teaches and evaluates health, nutrition and food safety programs. She currently administers the Eat Smart Idaho program in nine counties. This program focuses on helping limited resource families learn how to stretch their food dollars and to provide tasty, low-cost, healthy meals for their families. She has focused on building a culture of health in Idaho communities. She also works in 4-H youth development in her local county program, state programs and the UI Extension Payette County 4-H Endowment. Her research and outreach interests include adult learning, community food safety, health equity (social influences of health), technology in education, nutrition security and food access.
