Answers to Common Questions about Greenhouse Gases
BUL1020
June 1, 2022
Because climate change is one of the most urgent issues of our time, meaningful public discourse about it requires a basic understanding of the types of greenhouse gases (GHGs) involved, where they come from and projections about their impact. This bulletin provides this information via responses to the six questions about GHG emissions most often posed by farmers and the public about U.S.-based agricultural emissions. Graphs, tables and figures complement the text, illustrating the data in reader-friendly formats.
