Storage Management of Alturas Potatoes

Alturas is a 2002 multipurpose, late-maturing, high-yielding potato variety that produces russeted tubers with high specific gravity. Based on a three-year study at the University of Idaho's Kimberly Research and Extension Center, this four-page publication lists storage recommendations and discusses the potatoes' dormancy length, glucose/sucrose development, fry color and Fusarium dry rot susceptibility.
