Navigating campus parking and organizing parking for your community event is easy with detailed maps and event support services. This page provides the information and resources you need to find the best parking spot, request vehicle assistance or organize parking for an event. 

Campus parking maps

Stay informed about parking locations, permit areas and seasonal parking regulations.

Vehicle assistance services: Pit Crew

Get free vehicle assistance on U of I-managed property on the Moscow campus during fall and spring semesters with Pit Crew services.

Available services:
  • Jump-starts
  • Vehicle unlocks (Some vehicles may be difficult to unlock in extreme cold conditions.)
  • Assistance with flat tires
  • Can for gas
  • Shovel and sand (winter)
Service hours:
  • 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday – Friday (academic semesters)
  • 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday – Friday (academic breaks)

Event parking services and support

If your event brings additional vehicles to campus, submit an Event Request Form at least seven days in advance to ensure parking resources are available. Late requests may result in additional fees and your event may not be able to be completed as requested. 

Event parking support options 

We offer customized parking and signage solutions for a seamless guest experience. For event pricing, the total number of event signs, directional signs, cones and barricades requested are added together, then priced depending on the overall number of items requested. Quotes are available by request. Base prices for events follow:

  • Small event (1-5 items): $15 setup fee
  • Medium event (6-15 items): $25 setup fee
  • Large event (16+ items): $50 setup fee
  • Staffing (if required/requested): $50/hour (3-hour minimum) 
Event parking services
  • Event parking map (custom PDF/PNG): $50
  • Sandwich boards: $5 each (plus setup)
  • Campus directional signage: Request a quote
  • Reserved parking spaces: $20/half-day, $40/full day
  • Reserved parking lots: Request a quote
  • Fall-back parking (no permits required for guests): Request a quote
  • Custom event permits (with event logo): First 20 = $4 each; $1 each thereafter
  • Event scratch-off permits: $5/day/permit
  • Event map: $50 for up to one hour of map creation; $50/hr for each additional hour required 

Special transportation for events

Special transportation for events is available only for university-sponsored events or programs, and availability is determined at the discretion of PTS. To request any of the following services, fill out the Event Request Form.

  • Vandal Trolley: 32-passenger trolley-style bus
    • Rental (includes driver): $110/hour (2-hour minimum)
    • Standby time: $40/hour
  • Joe Bus: 22-passenger “Vandalized” bus with heat, AC and wheelchair lift
    • Rental (includes driver): $110/hour (2-hour minimum)
    • Standby time: $40/hour 

Special Parking: rates & privileges by the space or lot

  • Reserved parking (Individual reserved spaces near your event): $20/half day, $40/full day, per individual space.
  • Reserved a full lot or request a lot fall back (meaning the lot is neither reserved for the event nor enforced during the event): ask for a quote based on the lot you prefer
  • Special event permits (customized permits designed with your event's logo, printed by PTS and distributed by your event's organizer): $4/each for the first 20 permits; $1 for each additional permit.
  • Event scratch-off permits (non-refundable): $5/day/permit.

Football game day parking and RV regulations 

A valid football game day parking permit or disability permit is required to access the west Dome parking lots. Vehicles without a valid football game day permit or disability permit will be re-routed and directed to general parking areas.

Parking lots open for pre-game activities four hours prior to kickoff. 

Vehicle parking
  • Football game day paid parking for University Club, Vandal Scholarship Fund (VSF 1, VSF 2, VSF 3), west Kibbie Dome RV permits and general paid parking are all managed by the University of Idaho Ticket Office at 208-885-6466.
  • ADA parking fees (and all other game day fees) are collected and administered by Vandal Athletics. Designated ADA parking spaces for Vandal Football games are available in the parking lot west of the Kibbie Dome on a first come, first serve basis. A valid government-issued placard or license plate is required and must be displayed upon entrance into the parking lot. A VSF UC, 1, 2 or 3 parking pass or a $10 per home game football parking fee will be required and will be requested upon entering the parking lot. Drop-offs are available near the west entrance of the Kibbie Dome. 
RV and tailgate parking
  • The University of Idaho Ticket Office coordinates full season reservations for non-powered RV parking for game days in lots 110, Red 34 and Blue 57, located near the P1FCU Kibbie Activity Center. The University of Idaho Athletic Department does not sell single-game RV reservations in any of these parking lots. Guest vehicles are required to display guest vehicle permits, which are issued by the U of I Ticket Office.  To learn about the waitlist for season RV permits spots and for pricing information, contact the Ticket Office at 208-885-6466, email tickets@uidaho.edu.
  • Overflow RV Parking in Blue Lot 60 (on the east side of campus behind the Intermodal Transit Center) is available by pre-purchased reservation ONLY for individual game weekends. Blue Lot 60 is used on a daily basis by students, faculty and staff, whose workday typically ends at 5 p.m. Overflow RVs with PRE-PURCHASED RESERVATIONS, ONLY, may enter the lot starting at 5:30 p.m. There is NO EARLY ENTRY and the lot will be staffed.
  • Rules for Overflow Lot 60:
    • RVs must display pre-purchased U of I Lot 60 RV pass for that game.
    • Hours: 5:30 p.m. Friday – 10 p.m. Sunday. ABSOLUTELY NO EARLY ARRIVALS.  
    • Do not block drive lanes.
    • If combined RV and support vehicle length exceeds 65', park support vehicle in nearby Red lot 58, across Sweet Ave. to the south.
    • Respect others: limit generator use and other noise at night.
    • No alcohol or fire pits.
