Erin Heuring

Ms. Heuring has spent the majority of her legal career in the field of criminal law. During law school, she was an intern for the Navy JAG Corps in Bremerton, Washington as well as the Ada County Prosecutor's Office in Boise, Idaho. In addition to that, she was an extern clerk in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Honorable Terry Myers. As a freshly barred lawyer, she began working as a deputy public defender at the Ada County Public Defender's Office. During her five years at that office, she worked in the Domestic Violence Court, Mental Civil Commitment Court, Juvenile Court, and Misdemeanor Court. After the arrival of her first child, Ms. Heuring transitioned to the world of private practice and opened her own law firm where she continued to practice criminal defense as both a conflict public defender and private practitioner. Prior to law school, Ms. Heuring interned in the United States Senate in both Washington DC and Boise, Idaho. As an undergraduate, she studied English as well as International Studies and spent a semester abroad in Chengdu, China.
