Gianluca Blois Hired as Assistant Professor

Gianluca Blois will be joining the College of Engineering as an assistant professor in the department of Mechanical Engineering at the Center for Ecohydraulics Research. Gianluca comes from the University of Notre Dame where he was a research assistant professor since 2015.
Blois received his bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate in civil engineering from Politecnico di Milano University in Milan, Italy.
Blois’ research explores the intersection of flow physics and natural processes inspired by environmental, geophysical and biological systems. A central goal of his research is the development and utilization of methods to enable access of advanced flow diagnostics into otherwise inaccessible fluid domains.
