CS Ph.D. Student Jiyin Zhang Receives NSF Travel Grant
University of Idaho College of Engineering computer science doctoral student Jiyin Zhang has been awarded the NSF EarthCube Early-Career Travel Grant. Using the grant, Zhang presented his research at the Building Upon the EarthCube Community Workshop in June. The workshop is hosted by the University of Southern California Information Sciences Institute. Working with his advisor, Professor Xiaogang (Marshall) Ma, Zhang's research bridges computer science and geoscience, specifically employing AI and semantic technologies for data science applications.
