Idaho Repertory Theatre to Perform “Every Brilliant Thing”

June 03, 2022

MOSCOW, Idaho — The Idaho Repertory Theatre (IRT), the professional summer theatre in residence at University of Idaho, presents the funny, life-affirming play, “Every Brilliant Thing,” June 17-26 at the Forge Theatre, 404 Sweet Avenue in Moscow.

Described as “one of the funniest plays you’ll ever see about depression,” by The Guardian, “Every Brilliant Thing” stars University of Idaho theatre professor Craig A. Miller in the lead role, sharing with audiences a roller-coaster ride of universal emotions, and capturing life’s momentous events with humor and poignancy in a brilliant tiny package.

Tickets cost $5 to $25 and are on sale at https://www.uidaho.edu/theatretix.

After pausing productions in 2016, IRT is rebuilding its program with a slate of community presentations, said Robert Caisley, chair of U of I’s Department of Theatre Arts.

“I’m thrilled to say we are going to start on a small scale and build the program back over the next several summers, Caisley said. “I hope the community comes out to support us in the way they had in the past.”

“Every Brilliant Thing” was written by Duncan McMillan with Jonny Donahoe, and is directed by Princess Kannah, a recent graduate of the U of I Department of Theatre Arts. The production is made possible in part by the Ambrose Storytelling Foundation and the College of Letters, Arts and Social Sciences.
