U of I Selected to Screen Premiere of Apple Original Series ‘Masters of the Air’ Feb. 23

February 16, 2024

MOSCOW, Idaho — University of Idaho has been selected as one of 10 campuses across America to host a screening of the new Apple Original Series “Masters of the Air,” produced by Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman.

The screening, which will showcase the first episode of the series, is at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, in the Administration Building Auditorium on campus in Moscow.

“U of I is proud to host this screening of ‘Masters of the Air’ and is humbled by the selection of our Vandal Family to share the show with our Palouse community and friends,” said Billy Reeves, assistant director of the Military and Veterans Services Office.

Created by the executive producers of “Band of Brothers” and “The Pacific,” “Masters of the Air” focuses on the heroism of the airmen of World War II, portrayed through the experiences of the 100th bomber group, known as the “Bloody 100th.”

“Masters of the Air” is a tribute to the spirit of veterans and focuses on a monumental piece of United States history. Apple has selected university-based veteran organizations across the country to organize screenings and help bring this tribute to life.

This event is open to the public and free to attend, no tickets necessary. Doors open at 5 p.m., and light refreshments will be served before the show.
