Boston Brass to kick off 2024-25 Auditorium Chamber Music Series

MOSCOW, Idaho — The Auditorium Chamber Music Series will commence its 38th season with a concert by the internationally renowned quintet, Boston Brass. Each of the season’s four concerts takes place at 7:30 p.m. in the University of Idaho Administration Building Auditorium on campus in Moscow:
- Boston Brass: Thursday, Sept. 12
- Anthony McGill and Gloria Chien: Friday, Dec. 6
- Parker Quartet: Friday, Jan. 24
- Sandbox Percussion: Thursday, March 6
“Chamber music is the art of conversation through sound. It’s where each performer’s voice contributes to a collective dialogue, creating moments of profound connection and discovery,” Eneida Larti, artistic director of ACMS and assistant professor of piano at the Lionel Hampton School of Music. “Our series is dedicated to celebrating this beautiful interplay of individual expression and collaborative artistry, and we love to see audiences experience the magic that happens when musicians come together to create something truly extraordinary.”
Since 1986, Boston Brass has set out to establish a one-of-a-kind musical experience featuring colorful classical arrangements and original brass repertoire.
The quintet treats audiences to a unique brand of musical entertainment that bridges the ocean of classical formality to delight regular concertgoers and newcomers alike with great music and boisterous fun.
Boston Brass has played to audiences in all 50 U.S. states and more than 30 countries. Though the band regularly concertizes as a quintet, Boston Brass also performs with orchestras, concert and marching bands, organists and jazz bands and regularly collaborates with composers to create new works for the brass canon.
Many of this season’s performers are Grammy-nominated, and the esteemed Parker Quartet won Best Chamber Music Performance at the 53rd annual Grammy Awards.

Since 1986, the Auditorium Chamber Music Series has presented some of the world's finest small ensembles in the beautiful neo-Gothic auditorium in the heart of U of I’s campus. Four ensembles visit the Palouse each year, performing for the series and enriching the region through school residencies, informal performances in community venues and master classes.
