U of I’s 2024 Homecoming celebration set for Sept. 28 to Oct. 5

MOSCOW, Idaho — Homecoming, University of Idaho’s longest-running tradition, returns Saturday, Sept. 28, through Saturday, Oct. 5. For one week each year, this unique event brings alumni, students and community members together in Moscow to celebrate with the whole Vandal Family.

This year’s Homecoming theme is “Where Vandal Dreams Come True.” Get ready for a magical time filled with your favorite characters, enchanting moments and unforgettable memories.

Jean’ne Shreeve, U of I distinguished professor of chemistry and the university’s longest-serving employee, will serve as the annual Homecoming Parade grand marshal.

U of I’s 2024 Homecoming celebration has a full week of events and festivities the whole family can enjoy. Signature events include:

  • Oktoberfest Tap the Keg: 3:30-7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, at the Dan O’Brien Track and Field Complex.
  • Serpentine: 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, at the Vandal Golf Course.
  • Vandal Rally: 8:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, at the P1FCU Kibbie Dome.
  • Homecoming Fireworks Show: 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, at the P1FCU Kibbie Dome parking lot.
  • Homecoming Parade: 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, along Main Street.
  • Vandal Village pre-game celebration: Noon Saturday, Oct. 5, outside ICCU Arena.
  • Vandal Football versus Northern Arizona: 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at the P1FCU Kibbie Dome.
