Policies and Procedures

Review this checklist for a summary of the basic information required for all applications. Submit the application at least five business days before the requested flight start date.

  • Applications submitted less than five business days before the requested start date may not be approved in time.
  • This is the basic required information. Some applications may require additional documentation or information.

Some of the information required for the application is highlighted below. This list is not exhaustive; see the full list of required information.

  • Written permission from property owner(s). This may be given by letter, email, or text. In some cases a recorded voice message may be accepted.
  • Pilot Certificates. A copy of a Pilot’s Section 107 remote pilot certificate is required.
  • Recurrent Training Certificate. A Pilot must take the FAA recurrent training to keep the Pilot’s 107 certificate current. A copy of a current training certificate of completion is required if the Section 107 remote pilot certificate issuance date is two (2) or more years passed.
  • Drone Information. This encompasses the drone make and model, FAA registration number and remote ID number.
  • Insurance. See Drone Liability Coverage for details on insurance requirements.
