Become a Mathematics Assistance Center or Calculus Tutor
Introductory Math Tutors are responsible for one-on-one tutoring of Math 108 and Math 143 students, and occasionally Math 144 students. These tutors assist students in successfully completing the course material by answering questions, checking students’ work, asking questions to help students solve problems on their own, proctoring online tests, assisting instructors with proctoring and collection of written tests, filing testing scratch paper, opening and closing the Mathematics Assistance Center, and other duties as assigned by their supervisor or director.
Calculus Tutors are responsible for one-on-one and small group tutoring of Math 160, Math 170, and Math 175 students. Calculus Tutors assist students in successfully completing the course material by answering questions and leading students in such a way as to help them solve problems on their own.
Current pay for tutors is $14 per hour.
