Setting Up Accounts
For student who registered May 7, 2025 or after:
Students who registered for a course on or after May 7, 2025 are not required to setup a University of Idaho account. ISI has transitioned course registration to the Keep Learning Idaho platform which allows students to register and login using a personal email address, or a University of Idaho email account. However, if you would like to access UI library services or unofficial transcripts you can follow the New Student Account instructions below to setup a UIdaho account. If you're not sure what your Vnumber is, please submit an ISI Support Request.
For student who registered before May 7, 2025:
Students who registered for a course before May 7, 2025 are REQUIRED to use their University of Idaho student account to access your course via Canvas, your University of Idaho email through Office 365, University of Idaho library resources, unofficial transcripts, and more.
To go through the initial setup process to activate your account, you need access to the phone number or email address you provided on your registration form. Additionally, you will need your Vandal number (also called a V-number). You can find this on your registration confirmation letter; if you cannot find it, please submit an ISI Support Request.
Setup a New Student Account
Complete the process to set up a new student account described on the New Student Guide.
If you encounter any problems during the setup process, submit a service ticket at support.uidaho.edu. When submitting a ticket, include the following information:
- your name
- your V-number
- a note that indicates you are an Independent Study in Idaho student
- a short description of your problem (including screenshots and error messages when appropriate)
If you have not received registration confirmation or your course does not appear on Canvas within three business days, please submit an ISI Support Request.
