Education doctoral candidate Lorenzo Rene staffs the Dual Credit Program table during Vandal Science Day at the Integrated Research and Innovation Center (IRIC) on Friday, November 7, 2025. As the first graduate of University of Idaho’s Dual Credit Certificate in education, his goal is to teach college credit courses in high school while making sure his students have everything they need to thrive.

    Each fall and spring, University of Idaho and SARB welcome families of current students to campus. Students and their families enjoy three days packed with events to stay connected with each other and explore all that our community has to offer.

    Vandal Walk
    Vandal Marching Band at the Week of Welcome Vandal Walk

    SARB kicks off the fall semester by teaching new students the Vandal fight song right before they walk the reverse route they will take at commencement when they graduate. This memory-making event takes place the Sunday before the fall semester starts. New students also receive their first Vandal Game Day t-shirt!

    Help University of Idaho give students, alumni, fans and supporters the opportunity to leave their mark on the Vandal Game Day experience with the Vandal Game Day T-Shirt Design Contest.

    Easter Egg Hunt
    Children search for easter eggs on the Admin Lawn.

    Invite children 12 years old and younger to the University of Idaho Administration Lawn to scout for eggs. SARBies set up this fun and safe environment for children and connects alumni, students and future students. Children finding silver or gold eggs win a special prize.

    SARB After Dark Easter Egg Hunt

    As an additional event, those over the age of 18 are invited to join SARB for a revamp of the annual After Dark Easter Egg Hunt. Participants search for glow-in-the-dark eggs in a race to the finish.

    Create engaging virtual and in-person events for Silver and Gold Day on April 7 each year and encourage Vandals across the world to celebrate the founding of the University of Idaho Alumni Association in 1898. We invite every Vandal across the world to celebrate with us. Break out your Vandal Gear and wear it proudly. Once a Vandal, always a Vandal!
