She received a M.Sc. in Architecture from Carnegie Mellon University and a B.Sc. in Architecture from Jordan University of Science and Technology. Yumna’s research focuses on distributed solar PV integration at the urban scale, in which the system design takes into consideration the electricity supply and demand patterns and its relation to the system configuration. Yumna’s research also focuses on parametric and generative design, energy simulation, and building design optimization. Yumna interested in developing complex virtual environments for visualization and simulation purposes. with her background in Art, Architecture and Engineering, Yumna is interested in multidisciplinary collaboration to create and experiment with complex structures in both the virtual and the real environments.
