Jantzen Bates is a freelance cutter/draper and costume crafts artisan currently located in Moscow. She has received her Master of Fine Arts in costume construction from the University of Idaho, and her Bachelor of Fine Arts in stage management from Missouri State University. She has worked as both a designer and associate professor at the collegiate theatre level, at regional summer stocks as a cutter/draper and at Walt Disney World as an entertainment costumer. Jantzen is currently working in collaboration with the Latah County Historical Society as a preservation and textile cataloguer for their historic textile collection.
