Registration & Student Performances

Lionel Hampton’s vision of celebrating jazz through music education is alive and well. 

Adjudicated student performances, clinics and workshops — taught with the help of professional musicians — are a long-held tradition that aid in the development of young artists from schools across the region.

Join us each spring for the annual Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival by registering your student ensembles and performers for an adjudicated performance slot.

Registration for LHJF 2025 closed on January 12. Late registrations may be accommodated based on availability in the schedule if completed by January 17. A 10% late fee will be assessed. Email jazzinfo@uidaho.edu to complete a late registration form.

Registration Fees

• Vocal or Instrumental Ensemble - $300
• Vocal or Instrumental Combo - $180
• Vocal or Instrumental Solo - $75
• Late Fee – 10%

Registration Fees include participation in daytime LHJF competitions. Settle your registration invoice to receive a promo code for discounted concert tickets, which are sold separately.
