Honor Cords for Graduation
In recognition of their military service to the United States of America, the University of Idaho honors its veterans by authorizing them to wear a red, white, and blue honor cord at graduation ceremonies. Cords are available at the Gen. Amos Veterans Center, Living Learning Community #3, and are free of charge.
We are pleased to be the first in Idaho higher education to recognize the significant and proud accomplishment of student veterans as they earn their degrees. Honor cords are awarded upon completion of degree requirements to wear at graduation or just have as a keepsake. This honor cord reflects the deep continuing pride U of I has in our student veterans' commitment, perseverance, dedication, character, and personal and academic success.
