After graduating high school in Wisconsin, Tom served in the active-duty Army's 101st Airborne Division for four years. In 2002, he was deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation enduring Freedom. Tom was the first Operation Education scholar and earned a B.S. in Wildlife Resources (’07) and a Master of Natural Resources (’12) from the University of Idaho. He has served in multiple roles with the VFW and is currently commander of the Hawley-Jameson Post 2905 in Moscow. Tom also serves on the Idaho Veterans Affairs Commission. Tom lives in Moscow with his wife Andrea, and their four wonderful kids.
