Curriculum

A Master of Education (M.Ed.) or an Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Educational Leadership at the University of Idaho College of Education, Health and Human Sciences prepares educators for positions in education administration. The degree places graduates on the forefront of theory, policy and practice needed to guide and lead today's schools.

These degrees are designed for K-12 teachers and administrators who desire to transform schools into high-performing, inclusive and continuous learning communities.

Degrees are available online, in Boise and Coeur d'Alene.

Plus an earned master's degree in a related field. Up to 30 credits of master’s degree counted toward Ed.S. along with above coursework to total a minimum of 60 credit hours in accordance with college, graduate school and, university requirements.

Requires a master’s degree as preparation for Idaho Principal Certification or equivalent, and four years of full-time certificated experience working with Pre K-12 students while under contract in a school setting.
