Samantha Hanna is originally from Jacksonville, FL, where she started her journey in athletic training at the University of North Florida. Following the completion of her B.S. degree, Sam moved to Georgia to complete her M.S. degree in Kinesiology while serving as an athletic trainer at a local high school. In 2018, she moved cross-country to continue her education at the University of Idaho. Taking a role as a teaching assistant in the MSAT program and clinician in the ISMaRT clinic, Sam pursued her D.A.T degree. She continued her work at UI as a post-doctoral fellow, which led her to take a position as Clinical Education Coordinator and Clinical Assistant Professor.
Outside of athletic training, Sam enjoys being active. She is an avid mountain biker and gym goer. She also enjoys exploring new places in her trailer converted camper with her partner and two dogs.
