University of Idaho Extension provides research-based programs in response to local issues and needs. It helps citizens improve their social, economic and environmental quality of life.
U of I Extension, Kootenai County offers programming in these areas:
- Family and Consumer Sciences
- Forestry
- Home Horticulture
- 4-H Youth Development.
The headquarters for University of Idaho Extension, Northern District operations, along with an area Extension educator in water, are also located in Coeur d’Alene's University of Idaho branch campus.
