Computational Statistics
Computational statistics concerns the development and use of computer algorithms to provide numerical solutions to problems in statistics that are analytically difficult or intractable. Some problems to which computational statistics is applied include optimization, resampling methods, numerical integration, and the simulation of random variables or processes.
