Kanghyun Lee is an assistant professor of the Landscape Architecture Program at the University of Idaho. He earned his Ph.D. from the Department of Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning at Texas A&M University, focusing on climate-responsive landscape research and design. Kanghyun Lee employs a combination of interdisciplinary technologies, including remote sensing, spatial statistics, and bio-meteorological modeling, to elucidate the intricate connections among urban climate change, human health, neighborhood environments, and spatial inequality. His research includes human thermal comfort, energy budget modeling, urban heat island, stormwater management, LID (low impact development), and landscape performance on different scales.
