Based on data gleaned from Pacific Northwest (PNW) turfgrass variety evaluation trials, this 2010 publication provides recommendations regarding turfgrass blends, mixtures and rates for PNW homeowners, seed companies, salespersons and turfgrass managers. The authors explain the terms associated with applying turfgrass seed, supported by eleven tables that present the tested differences in seeding rates for the cultivars most suited to specific areas of Washington, Idaho and Oregon (golf course fairways, athletic fields, parks, home lawns and roadsides).
