Recertification

SEEP certificates must be renewed every three years. Renew your SEEP certification by doing one of the following:

  • Attend a one-day SEEP Level II Class for Recertification before your certification expires
  • Accumulate 10 continuing education points through home study, public service, etc., and submit certification renewal form to SEEP Steering Committee before your certification expires
  • Attend the two-day SEEP Basic Class and pass certification exam

What are continuing education points?

Here are examples of how to earn continuing education points. Download the SEEP certification renewal form for more information.

Educational Programs Attend educational programs such as seminars, webinars, regulatory sessions, conferences, etc. 1-3 hours = 1 point
4-6 hours = 2 points
>6 hours = 3 points

7 points maximum
Home Study Read articles on related topics or watch relevant online videos and provide write-up. 1 point per article

5 points maximum
Public Service Give presentation to a group on SEEP-related topics. 3 points per presentation

6 points maximum
SEEP-Related Meetings Attend SEEP Steering Committee meetings or Watershed Advisory Group meetings.
1 point per meeting

7 points maximum
Job Experience  Submit photos or successful BMPs on your job site. 1 point per submission

3 points maximum
