Learn By Doing
At U of I, you will learn by doing. Hands-on opportunities mean you will be working directly with animals at on-campus farms, gaining knowledge in the meats lab and learning outside the classroom through clubs and organizations from your very first day.
Outside the Classroom
The College of Agricultural and Life Sciences offers many student clubs and organizations, including several dedicated to animal and veterinary science:
Block and Bridle Club is designed for students passionate about working with livestock. Members make valuable connections through annual events and learn how to raise, fit and show livestock animals.
