This page features several options for both degree and non-degree seeking students to develop their professionalism and expertise in forestry, fire sciences, rangeland, sustainability and other pertinent natural resources fields beyond the traditional structure of a 4-year undergraduate degree.
From online forestry classes to professional certificates and accreditations, and with resources for those returning or beginning their education at later stages in life, CNR has a place for you to grow as a student and professional dedicated to the management and preservation of natural resources.

- Associate of Science Degrees
- Our two-year AS degrees are offered in Forest Nursery Management & Technology, Forest Operations & Technology, and Wildland Fuels & Fire Technology.
- Non-Degree Options
- CNR has options for online courses, community classes, independent study, research and more for life-long learners. Non-degree options may culminate in one of the below corresponding credentials or certificates but is not limited to a predetermined path.
- Federal Online Job Series
- This online and hybrid series, housed in the Department of Forest, Rangeland and Fire Sciences, features courses with both lectures and in-person workshops, allows professionals to both continue their education while helping them to fulfill qualification standards for specific GS Professional and Scientific Positions.
