I was born and raised in the small communities of Declo and Albion, Idaho, located in southern Cassia County. I was raised on a small farm that produced barley, wheat, alfalfa and beef cattle. I received my bachelor’s in bio-veterinary science from Utah State University in 1998. I furthered my education at Purdue University School of veterinary medicine where I earned my D.V.M. in 2002. Upon graduation I moved back to Albion. This is where I have resided with my wife Carie, and we have raised our four children; Haylie, Tinley, Shaelee and Bode. For 22 years I practiced veterinary medicine in the mini-cassia and surrounding areas. My practice focused on production animal medicine with a focus on dairy and beef production medicine. We also currently raise beef cattle, boer goats, horses and two camels. On the farming side we grow cereal grains, alfalfa and mixed grass/alfalfa.
