Polly Grasham believes in the importance of building community, embracing the idea proposed by Frederick Douglas that "it's easier to build strong children than to repair broken men."
She has worked as an educator in early childhood development creating hands-on opportunities for learning. Polly has worked within the public school system as well as healthcare and for a non-profit offering mental healthcare and addiction recovery. She currently supports UI Extension, Benewah County as a youth development instructor offering programs that teach life skills and supporting learning experiences for our youngest members of society.
Polly began her education at the University of Idaho studying archeology and enjoyed field seasons excavating mammoths in Grangeville. She enjoys working with and supporting diverse populations. A 4-H alumni, Polly credits her 4-H experience with developing a desire to serve and to stay curious.
Polly is a yoga practitioner, passionate about developing well-being and promoting health. She enjoys gardening, making pickles and baking bread.
