Powwow & Events
Staff from Tribal Nations Student Services (TNSS) and the Native American Student Association (NASA) group invite University of Idaho students, employees and the Moscow community to join us for a variety of events throughout the school year.
Celebrating Indigenous heritage and culture, events such as the Tutximepuu Powwow, Indigenous Peoples’ Day and Native American Heritage Month offer meaningful opportunities for learning, connection and celebration.
Highlights include the annual powwow honoring graduates, featuring friendship dances and contest dances, as well as a tipi raising event and invited guest speakers who address tribal issues, concerns and cultural topics. These events honor traditions, strengthen community and create spaces for understanding and shared experiences.
