The Official Vandal Tailgate
You are invited to the official tailgate of Vandal football. Let us treat you to a fantastic, pride-filled time at both home and away games. The goal is to provide all the fun of tailgating without the hassle of planning one yourself. We offer Vandal alumni fans and friends a lively and exciting experience that allows you to make the most of game day.
Game Day at Home
The official Vandal Tailgate is located right in front of the new ICCU Arena. There is food by local vendors, music, performances, a visit by the Sound of Idaho Marching Band and Vandal Spirit Squad, giveaways, games for kids and more! Vandal Tailgate opens two hours prior to kickoff. Stop by and get your complimentary tailgate cup. This event is free, family-friendly and open to all.
Vandal fans are known for hosting the best tailgates in the Inland Northwest. Tailgating is allowed in the P1FCU-Kibbie Dome parking lot, and several lots surrounding the Kibbie Dome, starting four hours prior to kickoff. Reserved spots are available in designated lots according to Vandal Scholarship Fund donation level. Fans may bring their own beverages, as long as they are held in an opaque container that is not labeled by an alcohol manufacturer or distributor and remains in one of the designated tailgating parking lots. U of I has implemented a clear bag policy for large events, bags can be purchased at the VandalStore.
Away Tailgating
Join us at the official Vandal Tailgate at select away games. Enjoy food and drinks and a rousing round of the fight song before taking your seat in the stands. Event schedule and prices vary by location.
2024 Idaho Football Schedule
Reunite with old friends and cheer on Vandal football for the first game of the 2024 season in Eugene! Alumni Relations invites you to a special tailgate before the Vandals take on the Oregon Ducks on Saturday, Aug. 31.
Join us to enjoy a variety of delicious appetizers with no-host beer and wine available for purchase.
The cost to attend is $25 per person if you register before 5 p.m. Pacific time, Monday, Aug. 26, or $35 per person after Monday, Aug. 26 and at the door.
Vandals versus Ducks
After the tailgate, we’ll head to Autzen Stadium to catch the kickoff at 4:30 p.m. Pacific time. Purchase game tickets online or by contacting the Vandal ticket office at 208-885-6466.

Join us for an unforgettable pre-game gathering as the University of Idaho Vandals prepare to take on the University of Wyoming Cowboys! Feel the excitement build as Vandals fans come together to celebrate this epic showdown in the Summit View parking lot. Enjoy delicious food, spirited conversations, and a vibrant atmosphere in the Summit View parking lot, where alums Mark and Johanna Blickenstaff, Randy and Barb Burkhardt and Jason and Kristy Mayer are willing to host all Vandals! There will be Vandal tents and Vandal flags to mark the space. If you feel so inclined, please bring an item to share. The Summit parking lot is a quick and easy walk to the stadium. Don your silver and gold, bring your enthusiasm, and be part of the camaraderie and anticipation that make college football so special. Don't miss out on the fun—be there to cheer the Vandals to victory!

The Twisted Root Burger Co. offers a variety of gourmet burgers, delicious shakes and local beverages, everyone is bound to find something they will enjoy!
