About Amy
Career Consultant Serving the College of Art and Architecture | College of Engineering
Amy Petit is a proud Vandal alum who enjoys working with students to help them achieve their career goals. Formerly in advertising and marketing, Amy worked as a designer in Seattle and Portland for many years before returning to school to earn her Master’s in Fine Art from the University of Montana. Her experiences have provided valuable insight into working with both large and small companies and the importance of helping students professionally represent their strengths and capabilities. She is proud to bring this knowledge to University of Idaho to help fellow Vandals pursue their career aspirations.
Prior to moving to Idaho, she worked with students in a variety of disciplines including Art, Biology, Machine Manufacturing and Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at a community college makerspace in Portland, Oregon. Teaching course sections and workshops in rapid prototyping, Amy was able to facilitate creative, tangible ways for students to realize their projects.
Additionally, Amy is a sculptor who enjoys working with metal, glass, fiber and other materials to explore themes of communication. She and her husband enjoy traveling and visiting family and friends all over the Pacific Northwest.
